Pulsonic delivered more than 70 Alizia 310 wind sensors (adapted to freezing conditions) and 280 standard Alizia 312 sensors to Meteo-France. These sensors are set up on the sites of the Meteo-France ground observation network.
The Alizia 310 sensors (adapted to freezing conditions), use one ultrasonic anemometer which can be heated easily. These equipments are mainly intended to be set up on mountains.
The standard Alizia 312 sensor includes one anemometer with cups and one vane with a flag in carbon fibre. They are powered by one solar panel.
The sensors make speed and direction measurements twice a second and make the necessary calculations to the wind according to the WMO* and ICAO** rules.
